Linda Lin is one of the rising musicians of her generation. Since then, she has been frequently performing and collaborating with artists worldwide.

Described to have “a penchant for flamboyance”, LINDA LIN is one of the rising musicians of her generation. As the winner of the Young Artist of Australia at the age of 15, she made her debut performance with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at the ABC Iwaki Auditorium, which was broadcast live on 3MBS FM and ABC FM in Australia. Since then, she has been frequently performing and collaborating with artists worldwide.
With a flourishing career as an international soloist, Lin gives recitals across three continents including the UK, China and Australia, where she will return in the coming season for a recital tour around the country. She makes regular appearances across the UK including Cadogan Hall, Royal Festival Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, National Portrait Gallery, Australia House, and has made her debut at Wigmore Hall in 2007 as the winner of the Derek Butler Award which marked her appearance on London BBC Radio 3's In Tune Classical programme. She has also received numerous awards and prizes in the UK, including the Sir Edward Cooper Prize, the Florence Hooton Concerto Prize, the Leverhulme Trust Scholarship, and the Associated Board International Scholarship.
Linda Lin was chosen to represent the RAM to take part in recitals and masterclasses in the prestigious International Manchester Cello Festival and has also worked with renowned artists including Ralph Kirshbaum, Steven Isserlis, Natalia Gutman, Philip Muller, Gary Hoffman and Leonid Gorokhov. Whilst leading various RAM orchestras and on trial with the Philharmonic Orchestra, she has had the privilege to work with prominent conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Sir Colin Davis, Sir Charles Mackerras, Sir Mark Elder, Trevor Pinnock, Lutz Kohler, and composer Sir Peter Maxwell Davis.
Originally from Australia, Linda Lin studied with David Strange and Felix Schmidt at the Royal Academy of Music, where she was invited to be a Leverhulme Fellow and still remains to teach college students.
